Boulangerie La Fournée Challésienne

The quality is declining in direct contrast to the prices. I can confirm that 90% of the pastries are frozen. This morning, I went there wanting to eat breakfast outside. I ordered the set menu and some other breads. I found the bag for the pain au chocolat ridiculously small. I sat down, and there it was: a pain au chocolat that hadn't risen at all and was still raw in the center. So I asked for an exchange, but not a word of apology. I was told that they are all baked at the same time, 12 to 13 minutes, including the croissants. Since they couldn't guarantee that the others were cooked, they would give me a refund. When you see that the puff pastry isn't rising, you extend the baking time, even if it makes customers wait a little longer. Even humid heat helps the oven to rise properly. As a customer for several years, this is my last time. I'll go to the one closer to home, especially when there's no apology for the inconvenience or any effort to make amends for other customers. My breakfast will just be a coffee.

Definitely one of the best bakeries!!!

We absolutely loved the 'Saint-Genix with praline'. Wow, I've never had any so good! The bread is incredible too...BRAVO, and all with friendly service. I highly recommend stopping by this bakery.
